In this blog post, I will take you through Day 4 of the 100 Glute Challenge with my good friend Wengie. We will be performing the Mermaid Front Raise exercise to target and strengthen our glute muscles. Join us on this journey and let's work towards stronger and toned glutes together!

Introduction to the 100 Glute Challenge

The 100 Glute Challenge is a comprehensive workout program designed to help you strengthen and tone your glute muscles over the course of 100 days. Each day, you will perform a different glute exercise to target specific areas of your glutes.

In today's workout, we will be focusing on the Mermaid Front Raise exercise. This exercise is great for targeting the gluteus medius and gluteus minimus muscles, which are located on the sides of your glutes. By strengthening these muscles, you can improve stability and prevent injuries.

Joining me in this challenge is my good friend Wengie. Together, we will motivate and encourage each other to stay committed to the program. Let's get started!

How to Perform the Mermaid Front Raise

To perform the Mermaid Front Raise exercise, follow these steps:

1. Start by lying on your side with your legs extended and stacked on top of each other. Rest your head on your bottom arm for support.

2. Place your top hand on the ground in front of you to help maintain balance.

3. Engage your core and lift your top leg as high as you can, keeping it straight. Focus on contracting your glute muscles throughout the movement.

4. Slowly lower your leg back down to the starting position.

5. Repeat for the desired number of repetitions, then switch sides and repeat the exercise with your other leg.

Remember to maintain proper form and control throughout the exercise. It's important to listen to your body and only do what feels comfortable for you. If you experience any pain or discomfort, stop the exercise.

The Mermaid Front Raise exercise offers several benefits:

1. Targets the gluteus medius and minimus: This exercise specifically focuses on the side glute muscles, helping to build strength and definition in that area.

2. Improves stability and balance: By strengthening the glute medius and minimus, you can enhance your overall stability and balance, reducing the risk of falls and injuries.

3. Tones and shapes the glutes: Regularly performing the Mermaid Front Raise can help you achieve more toned and shapely glutes.
