The main highlight of this journey is the opportunity to witness the wild orangutans in their natural habitat. These remarkable creatures are native to Borneo and Sumatra, and getting a chance to observe them up close is an unparalleled experience.

Not only did I encounter orangutans, but I also had the privilege to observe other fascinating wildlife such as proboscis monkeys, macaques, and exotic bird species. The diversity of flora and fauna in this region is truly astonishing.

The cruise itself is an adventure of its own. Sailing on a Klotok house boat, you'll be mesmerized by the stunning views of the river and its surrounding lush rainforest. The boat provides a comfortable setting for relaxation and serves as a base for exploration during the day.

However, our dream trip took an unexpected turn when our Klotok house boat was raided by locals. While this was a challenging and tense moment, it highlighted the importance of respecting the local communities and understanding the socio-economic dynamics of the area.

Despite this unforeseen incident, my journey through the Borneo jungle remains a cherished memory. It's a testament to the unpredictable nature of travel and the resilience of explorers in the face of adversity.
